The IX Annual Retreat for Guides ‘Evangelical Profile of Authority’ was held at the Flos Carmeli Spirituality Center, in Vila Renascenca, Mairipora, Sao Paulo state, Brazil, from October 16 to 18 of this year. It was led by Guide Maristella Carvalho from the Local Coordination of Sao Jose dos Campos and coordinated by Guide Marcia Rodrigues de Abreu Arnaldo da Silva from the Local Coordination Sao Paulo Centro, which belongs to the National Coordination West 2, part of the Brazil West Zone Coordination.
Forty-four Guides took part in the Retreat, returning home with an extremely positive impression. The Retreat was described by many as spectacular, a true blessing, and an opportunity for spiritual renewal, rest, and strengthening energy to keep moving forward. Participants especially highlighted the performance of Animator Maristella, considered one of the high points of the Retreat, praising her talks, her guidance, and the way she conveyed the teachings. The reflections provided moments of learning, growth, and spiritual deepening, allowing each participant to take away new experiences and knowledge.
Another highly valued aspect was the opportunity to take a break from the noises and worries of everyday life, finding in the Retreat a space for silence, reflection, rest, and renewal of strength. The organization of the Retreat also received a lot of praise. Participants highlighted the work of the Retreat Coordinator, who organized everything in a harmonious and well-structured way, helping everything run as smoothly as possible. They also expressed gratitude for the warmth, attention, and hospitality of the Sisters in charge of the house, whose dedication made the experience even more special.
Gratitude to God for everything we were allowed to experience!
