The Encounter Experience of God (EEG is a deep and transformative moment, especially for those who have never participated in a Prayer and Life Workshop In it, participants are invited to get to know Jesus, follow in His footsteps, forgive and love as He loved, and withdraw to be alone with the Father. It is a time of silence, listening, and prayer, where we learn to listen to God through His Word and speak with Him in various ways.
For the Guides, it is a rekindling of the flames of our spirituality and the PLW mission. The EEG is, above all, an experience of allowing oneself to be loved by God and allowing this love to illuminate and transform our lives and the lives of those who live with us.
This is the 3rd Encounter Experience of God (EEG) held in Palmas, Tocantins state, and the first held by the NBC-9 National Coordination, which is part of the Central Brazil Zone. The Guide couple, Aparecida and Erondino, were the Animators, and Guide Ivone was the Coordinator of this EEG.
This EEG took place from October 28th to November 2nd, 2025, and was attended by 52 people, including 16 non-Guides, and even 7 participants from the city of Abaetetuba, Pará state, which is more than 1000 km away from Palmas. The PLW’s have not yet reached their city, yet last year they acquired the book Show Me Your Face (Muéstrame Tu Rostro) by Father Ignacio Larrañaga, were enchanted by its content, and had been very interested in the spirituality of the Workshops for some time.
All participants returned to their homes filled with the Father’s graces and very happy, especially because the Local Coordination of Belém do Pará has already made arrangements to bring Workshops to them next year. Let us pray for our expansion.
The “holocaust” (referring to a significant prayer or offering moment) took place in a beautiful setting, amidst nature, at the foot of an illuminated Cross—a place of devotion and prayer for the blessed Community (Seeds of the Word), which always welcomes us with affection and diligence at these Encounters.
Everything else was a sea of blessings, thanks to the action, inspiration, and breath of the Holy Spirit in the heart of every participant.
It was a great Encounter with the beloved Heavenly Father, who flooded everyone with much peace.
