“From June 4 to 6, on the eve of the Jubilee of Ecclesial Movements, Associations, and New Communities (June 7-8), the annual meeting will be held with the moderators of the international associations of the faithful, ecclesial movements, and communities of new life. The meeting will be attended by part of the International Prayer and Life Workshop Team.
Evangelization and formation in the light of Christian hope will be the topics of reflection addressed by the approximately 250 participants, moderators, and representatives of 115 associations recognized by the Dicastery for Laity, Family, and Life.
In the Holy Jubilee Year 2025, the moderators of ecclesial aggregates will meet to make a concerted appeal to the forgiveness of God and their brothers and sisters, invoking the grace of authentic personal and communal conversion. On the 4th, a penitential liturgy will be celebrated in St. Peter’s Basilica.
In two working groups, participants will discuss how the time of grace of the Jubilee offers ecclesial associations an opportunity to renew their missionary commitment, a privileged moment to rediscover their call to be signs of hope for the Church and the world.
Dr. Linda Ghisoni, Under-Secretary, states: “The Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life hopes that the Annual Meeting with the Moderators, together with the Jubilee of Ecclesial Movements, Associations and New Communities that will follow the Meeting, will be an opportunity to live a renewed Pentecost, knowing that the Risen Lord now renews his call to ecclesial movements to go out to meet the men and women of today, to listen to them and to be reliable witnesses of the joy experienced in the encounter with the Lord.”
