Dear Guides and brothers and sisters in faith, with immense jubilation, let us all acclaim: Truly the Lord has risen! Alleluia!
The light of Holy Saturday has reached us once again, penetrating the very depths of who we are and how we live. Nothing remains the same after this night; everything is new. Amidst the faint glow of candles and the scent of incense, something incomprehensible, something beyond the grasp of our senses envelops us, overwhelms us, and makes itself present: it is the taste of the eternal.
The Love of Christ has reached, in these days, unimaginable heights, heights that are inaccessible to human understanding. Within us, in perfect communion, beats the living heart of the One who gave Himself for all of us and now rises victorious, revealing the grandeur of what is yet to come. Christ, the Redeemer of the world, covers with His Life all that is barren -the dead flesh, the emptiness of the soul, the withered trunk- breathing into them a new, immortal Spirit: an indestructible power that can come only from on High. He alone can satisfy the yearning of the soul that, unknowingly, cries out for the eternal.
We were created for a life of fullness, and it is revealed to us the certainty that death can never vanquish us again. The gift of His Mercy reaches all things. Glory be to God, because all the promises have been fulfilled and will be fulfilled.
Let us kneel to adore and to contemplate in silence the Paschal Mystery. Let us welcome the Risen Jesus, who comes forth to meet us, to fill our lives with meaning, and to lead us along the path that leads to eternity.
