The 8th Annual “Inner Liberation” Retreat was held from August 1st to 3rd, 2025, at the Palomino Inn, in the municipality of Chapada dos Guimarães, Mato Grosso, Brazil.
Forty Prayer and Life Workshop Guides participated, from the following Coordinations: Cuiabá I, Cuiabá II, Várzea Grande, Campo Novo do Parecis, and Tangará da Serra, belonging to the National Area of Brazil West 7, Zone of Brazil West.
This Retreat was organized by the Cuiabá II Local Coordination.
Guide Maria Tereza do Couto was in charge of the coordination, and the facilitator was Lydia María Santos.
These were some of the Guides’ impressions:
That it was precisely the time to awaken to an inner reunion with oneself and with God;
Of the need to liberate oneself from the false “I” through exercises to achieve self-emptiness and thus be open to intimacy with the Lord, the One who frees us from our bonds;
Understanding and accepting facts, people, and especially oneself;
That the main path to liberation is the prayer of abandonment; and
Finally, the joy of being able to overcome, even with our limitations, any difficulty or problem, since everything is relative, because only God is Absolute.
