Between May 15 and 18, the 2024 Ordinary and Extraordinary International Assembly of Prayer and Life Workshops was held, convened by the International Coordination in Guadalajara – MEXICO.
The place where this Assembly took place was at the Nazareth House of Prayer, in Ixtlahuacán de Los Membrillos. Those were days of intense work, always preceded by morning prayer, and in an atmosphere of joyful fraternity.
This House, which has welcomed the great family of the TOV, represented by all those summoned to this International Assembly, formed by the 14 Zonal Coordinations and the Coordinators of their National Areas, has a special connotation, as in this same place, our Founder was called by the Heavenly Father on October 28, 2013. On the other hand, it was in the City of Guadalajara where the First International Congress of Prayer and Life Workshops was held in 1987.
Additionally, this year we are commemorating the 40 years of existence of the Prayer and Life Workshops.
177 participants have met, including the International Team, Zonal Teams and National Coordinators of the 14 Zones and 42 countries, plus the support group of Guides from the two Zones of Mexico and interpreters of the different languages.
This assembly culminated in the celebration of Universal Day of the Guide on Sunday, May 19, the holiday of Pentecost. It was a memorable day, since, taking advantage of the fact that Guides from all over the world were present at the Assembly, we were able to celebrate this great day of Pentecost with an Eucharist celebrated and sung in several languages, but with “one heart and one soul.” Truly a Grace and a gift from God for this PLW family.
